The Energy Leadership Index™: Assessment and Debrief

Think about someone you see as a leader, someone who always seems to be in a bad mood—how quickly can you feel the tension when they walk in the room?  How does this person’s impact spill over into everyone else’s mood and level of productivity?

Now think about a fun, dynamic leader who inspires others and happily gives credit where credit is due. How does this light, positive person naturally enhance people’s peace of mind and important everyday interactions?

That ripple effect you feel is energy. And it’s critical for you to understand its impact. And how to harness - and improve - your own. and in response to others.

You’ve taken personality tests… but now it’s time for
an attitudinal assessment.

I expected the ELI to provide insight into how I tick and it certainly confirmed where I know my strengths lie on a good day, with the bonus of some places where I could be growing even further.

The real value and insight though came from how it identified, with uncanny accuracy, how I react on a bad day. I had a major breakthrough as to the root cause of why I seem to cave in certain circumstances. I was able to identify the unexpected trigger point for my seemingly 'random' avoidance of conflict and I have a plan to master this stumbling block to my own growth.

As individuals, we view the world through filters (based on our experiences, values, assumptions, etc.). Those filters will either limit what we see (like tunnel vision) or expand what we see (like a prism) and, thus, impact how we perceive and what we think about our circumstances.  This ultimately affects how you show up in different situations and could even be holding you back from realizing the full potential in yourself, your life, and your career.

The Energy Leadership Index (ELI) assessment reveals what specific filters you’ve developed and how those filters are influencing the results you're achieving. It's like holding up a mirror to your perceptions, attitudes, behaviors, and overall leadership capabilities.

Whether you proceed to coaching with me or not, the realizations that you'll gain from the Energy Leadership assessment and debrief process alone will change the way you view your world, and “transform who you are.”

Catabolic vs. Anabolic Energy
If you're experiencing workplace bullying, or in a toxic environment, you’re already very familiar with catabolic energy and it's impact.

You just didn't have a name for it. Until now.

The person's who’s always in a bad mood, who creates tension wherever they go? That’s catabolic energy in a nutshell. This energy of worry, frustration, and blame is ultimately destructive. Left left unchecked it creates  a depressing, toxic environment.

In contrast, anabolic energy is constructive and fuels creativity. Someone operating in the anabolic energy range has the ability to motivate and inspire others to do extraordinary things, influence positive outcomes, and create incredible change within every area of their life.

In the ELI, we use seven different energy “levels” (two catabolic, five anabolic)  to describe the types of energy a person experiences and expresses. Each type of energy has inherent advantages and disadvantages and can be consciously used to reach specific goals.

When you understand - and master - the energy levels, you need never be at the mercy of someone else's catabolic energy again.

Change the way you view the world, approach problems,
and engage with others.
The Assessment plus personally-tailored debrief will help you look closely at where (and how) you’re investing your energy. These insights, along with added coaching, typically boost productivity, communication, and effectiveness. You’re likely to see transformations in your relationships, confidence level, and leadership skills.

In essence, Energy Leadership will help you lead your life with greater power, purpose, and passion.

How it works:
  • Take the simple online assessment (20 minutes)
  • Book your debrief (2 hours)
  • Receive your results (20 page report)
  • In the debrief we'll dive deep into what percentage of each of the 7 energy levels you typically experience under stress and also under “normal” conditions. And what this means for how you show up and how you react.
  • You’ll also discover your Average Resonating Level of Energy (A.R.L.), which represents the average of all your energy levels, under normal conditions and in reaction to stressful circumstances.
  • Decide on next steps. If you proceed into a full coaching program, the cost of the ELI will be credited towards your coaching program.
  • Cost: $295

I'm IN! Let's DO this!
The ELI assessment was extremely useful because it helped explain something I have always puzzled over - why I can be a gracious, peace-loving, all accepting, change the world person most the time and then sometimes I find myself thinking tantrum toddler thoughts. The answer lay in my stress reaction vs my "default" mode. Which was very comforting. Because now there's something to work on, to be aware of and I can focus on thought catching if I start switching to toddler mode.

I am still on the natural high from my ELI!  I am using our session to stop the negative talk in my head. I keep reviewing the handout. The ELI has helped me to create spaces of joy to use when I desperately need it. Most importantly, I have said no, now,  to situations that I know do not serve me. I am still creating beauty but it is on my terms. My life is fully on track.
